Footwork

Low Center of Gravitiy

After hitting the shuttle, always remember to return to the center of the court. Experienced footwork can help us return to the center more efficiently, saving time and effort to better set up for the next shot.

Initial Step

Standing straight from a stationary position does not help you move. Your joints cannot rapidly turn to the desired direction. Therefore, to bounce forward/sideway, it is necessary to exert force in the opposite direction, using the reaction force to propel your body forward.

Consistency

Focus on every single shot and follow through consistently to prepare for the next one. Keep your center of gravity low and be ready to move in the direction where your opponent is most likely to return the ball. Never stop until the shuttle hits the ground.
